BJD
Ball Joined Dolls are articulated dolls molded from polyurethane synthetic resin, hard dense plastic, and the parts are connected together with an elastic band. In modern terms, when referring to contemporary dolls, and especially when using the abbreviations BJD or ABJD, it usually refers to modern Asian articulated dolls. They are mainly produced in Japan, South Korea and China. The BJD style is described as realistic and anime-influenced, the articulated puppets are highly movable and capable of various realistic poses. They usually range in size from 60cm for large dolls, 40cm for mini dolls, and up to 10cm or less for the smallest BJDs. BJDs are mainly intended for adult collectors and customizers. They are easy to customize for different images, recoloring, changing eyes and wig.
