After starring in a string of Bollywood blockbusters and French modeling campaigns, Isha took a break. But she was getting more and more offers and, frankly, she thought it was time to get back to her career.
Isha thought it was strange when Eden asked her out to dinner. Eden was a nice girl, and in between her modeling jobs, she also did office work with Veronique Perrin. But Eden was a bit shy and not very outgoing—unlike her sister Lilith.
And when Eden said she had an offer to talk to Isha over dinner, it sounded absurd. Veronique wouldn’t give Eden this assignment, so what was the point? But Isha accepted the invitation.
Shortly after arriving at Bistro Neuf, Isha realized she had been tricked.
The meeting wasn’t with Eden, it was with Lilith.
Lilith apologized for the manipulation, but said she just wanted to be heard, not dismissed.
Isha had considered getting up and leaving, but she didn’t want to make a scene, especially when this hot spot was packed with all the big names in French society, culture, and entertainment.
Although Lilith was crafty, she was also a brilliant publicist. She vividly portrayed how AvW was fully investing in its lifestyle brands, and hinted that there might be a brand extension that could be completely led by Isha.
Isha didn’t trust Agnes, and she didn’t trust Lilith, but she wanted to hear more.
As Lilith continued to chatter, Isha’s eyes widened.
A magnificent figure crept into the booth over Lilith’s shoulder. She waved a long gloved hand in greeting as she approached.
“Well, good evening, ma’am,” Eugenia purred in a sweet, sticky voice. “May I join you?”
