Review of Wilma Mankiller, Inspiring Women Series, Mattel 2023

Today we have a very interesting doll from Mattel's Inspiring Women series, which is dedicated to the outstanding public figure and the first ever woman chief of the Cherokee tribe, Wilma Pearl Mankiller.

The Wilma Mankiller doll belongs to the Black Label and has a bright package with Cherokee ornaments and the story of the heroine on the back.
The set includes a certificate of authenticity and a model stand in the color of the doll's outfit.

The doll herself looks adorable in her bright mint dress with contrasting stripes and with a wicker basket in her hands. The Daisy mold, on which the doll's face is created, adds softness to the girl's overall image. The face is very photogenic and pleasant from all angles😍

The painting of the doll's face looks very interesting.
Filigree eyebrows, which, although they have a bit of a pixel gradient, boast a clear painting of each individual hair. Soft lines of folds above the eyes, fluffy eyelashes, a rich clear small iris with highlights - all this makes the face very alive and real. A fresh blush on the cheeks and a soft pink shade of lipstick on the doll's lips complete the neutral make-up.
In general, we came across a not very ideal version of the painting, there are questions about the location of the eyes and the quality of the painting as a whole, but all this in no way diminishes the good impression of the doll. On the contrary, her face is unique, with its own "highlights"😊

The hairstyle of the Wilma Mankiller doll is very heavily varnished, and the varnish itself has a tendency to sprinkle fine powder on the face and outfit of the doll at any slightest manipulation (head movement, or banal touch of the hair), which does not look very aesthetically pleasing. If the plans include active interaction and photographing the doll, the hair will have to be washed from the varnish.
As for the quality of the hair itself - it is very good, has two shades, is densely stitched and, washed from the varnish, has a pleasant length.

The creators also treated the doll's hands with attention. In addition to elegant gesturing palms, there is a delicate pink manicure on the fingersπŸ’…πŸ»

The doll's outfit consists of a one-piece detailed and very well-tailored dress in mint color and black sandals.
The dress is made of a thin but textured material that drapes beautifully in numerous folds, for example, on the sleeves-lamps, or on the shelf of the dress. The design impresses with its detailing and daring solutions: a complex stand-collar, neatly sewn inserts with stripes, perfectly even seams and a thin Velcro fastener on the back.

Comfortable black sandals with small heels "hide" under the skirt "to the floor", but they are there☺️

In the hands of the doll is a woven plastic basket, empty inside and with a movable handle simulated "under the vine".
The doll does not have any other additional accessories.

Wilma Mankiller is built on the Articulated Curvy Collector's movable curvy body, which features two-part joints at the elbows and knees, as well as movable feet and bones. And right now we can see a strange thing: the native stand is too high and does not allow the doll to stand with its legs on the floorπŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Vilma's skin tone matches the skin tones of such Made to Move dolls as dark football player, bundle, petite Lux.
From the very beginning of interaction with the doll, her cute face was reminiscent of a young girl, so it was decided to try to hybridize it with the petite body. This is how the girl turned out as a result.

And this is what the doll's hair looks like when it is still wet, but has already been washed off the varnish and slightly straightened with boiling water. Very nice length and stylish hairstyle even without additional correctionπŸ‘πŸΌ

Thank you for your attention and we hope that with our review this doll was revealed to you from all the best sidesπŸ€—β€οΈ
