Kanao Tsuyuri is a prominent minor character in the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba series. Kanao is a short young girl with large, gentle eyes of a dark lilac color, framed by thick eyelashes. She has thin, black hair that she pulls into a ponytail on the right side of her head and adorns it with a pink and green butterfly that once belonged to her adopted sister, Kanae Kocho. She has straight bangs and two loose locks of hair that reach her chin and curve smoothly around each ear.
Kanao can be seen wearing a slightly purple version of the standard Demon Slayer uniform, however she wears a knee-length pleated skirt instead of the usual hakama pants. Over this she wears a short white cloak which is secured at the side with a dark pink triple knot. She is also wearing a pair of white lace-up knee-high boots with dark brown soles, heels and toes.
Between her last appearance and her appearance in the Infinity Fortress, Kanao's hair has undergone a change, now being slightly purple at the tips, before gradually transitioning to neon pink near the middle of the tail. After the battle with Doma, Kanao starts wearing Shinobu Kocho's pin instead of Kanae's because the latter broke during that battle. In addition, she loses the ability to see in her right eye due to using the final form of Flower Breath to defeat the Supreme Rank, causing her eye to gain a clear pupil with a dark ring around it, losing the gradient.
