Back in the 60s, when Barbie needed a friend, she found Midge.
Margaret "Midge" Hadley Sherwood is Barbie's best friend, first released in 1963. Not a single Midge doll was sold for the rest of the vintage years after the 1960s, but even so, Mattel hasn't forgotten the story of the friendship, and to celebrate her 60th anniversary, they've created this collectible reproduction of her original beach look: a classic yellow and orange two-piece swimsuit and mules on white heels.
The doll has her classic freckled face and titanium hair with upturned bangs and bouncy curls, but this is the first time she has a Silkstone body. Featuring a vintage wrist tag and the classic Midge logo on the doll stand, this Midge doll will be the perfect addition to any collection.

"She has a cute hairstyle and freckles that are typical of Midge," says designer Bill Greening. "The big news is that we're recreating it for the first time in Silkstone body material." Like the 1963 original, Midge doll has five points of articulation and is dressed in her classic yellow and orange two-piece swimsuit and white heeled mule.
