Brand New: Barbie® and Ken® Doll Two-Pack for @BarbieStyle™, Resort-Wear Fashions

With more than 2.3 million followers since its debut in 2014, the @BarbieStyle Instagram account gives fans a glimpse into the everyday life of their favorite fashion icon. Three years ago, the @BarbieStyle Instagram account started serving us – literally! – when he gave us all a chance to vote on a Barbie doll outfit inspired by the channel's posts to kick off the @BarbieStyle fashion doll series.
Mattel has since realized some of the channel's most memorable looks, curating premium fashion and accessories for fans around the world. And now it offers something new - a Ken doll. The @BarbieStyle 2-Pack brings your favorite couple together for the first time in the world-renowned @BarbieStyle doll series.
The dolls in this series are meant to be taken out of their boxes, fashioned together, and created for social media photo-worthy moments. This changes the parameters of the typical package design, other than featuring two dolls and multiple models for each. Key lead packaging designer Vicky Gevorkian chose a more substantial "game board" material for the presentation, which has also been used for some of the premium Barbie Signature offerings. "It also has a magnetic closure for easy opening and closing, and has a collector's compartment for easy storage of fashion dolls," Vicky adds. "It's designed to be reused and played with."

This Gold Label pair is the first such project for leading designer Suim Noh. "These were the first @BarbieStyle dolls I made for Barbie Signature," she says. "As a main line designer, it was a great opportunity for me to work on the Collector line and create so many premium fashion pieces!"
The @BarbieStyle Instagram account is the inspiration behind the doll series, and Suim has also brought her sensibility to the models' looks. "In my process, I browse a lot of Instagram and social media channels for ideas and find fashion trends that are relevant in today's world," she explains. “This look, in particular, was inspired by the atmosphere of a luxury resort. I often create outfits that I like and would wear myself, and think of fashion silhouettes that can look and perform well on an 11.5-inch doll scale.”

Ken rocks his series debut in a matching twill blazer and shorts, mesh top, tropical print swim trunks, sunglasses and sandals.

The @BarbieStyle series embodies and brings to life unforgettable looks from the Instagram account. This latest entry features the perfect couple: Barbie and Ken, who everyone saw together for the first time in the collection. Each of the dolls is complemented by two luxurious resort models, perfect for lounging by the pool and watching the sunset. This duo exudes carefree chic!

Both dolls in this gorgeous set feature super-movable Made to Move Original bodies, with the girl featuring the collector's favorite Millie mold and the gorgeous boy using the Ken mold.
