Barbie doll's formal black dress is inspired by the rich cultural tradition of charro costumes.
Exquisite white and crimson embroidery unfolds along the dramatic silhouette of the dress, including a layered mermaid tail hem.
The outfit is highlighted by a cropped bolero jacket, a red bow tie and a festive headpiece.
The Barbie Dia De Muertos Collection celebrates the customs, symbols and rituals often found during this festive time of remembrance.
World-renowned Mexican fashion designer Benito Santos brings his vibrant flair for bold glamor to his beautiful creations for Barbie.
"It was a very collaborative and creative process," says Barbie Signature designer Javier Mibe.
“We were able to meet with Benito and he shared with us his vision for the dress, hair, makeup and accessories. He also shared his trending boards so we could understand what themes he was trying to convey.”
"Benito's work is so beautiful, there's so much detail, and the silhouettes are always great," says Javier.
"His dresses have a very romantic mood. You can really see how much passion goes into his work."
