Exclusive Barbie Looks Mix'n Match set

To date, the Barbie Looks collection consists of 12 dolls in two waves. Wave 1 is the "Black and White" wave, wave 2 is the "Metallic" wave. Wave 3 will be the "Color Blocks" wave and will also feature the six main dolls (#13-#18). But Wave 3 will also feature a premium seventh doll that comes with multiple outfits and accessories for the first time in the series. This is doll #19 and we're debuting her earlier than the other dolls in this wave. "I'm really excited that we have a special members-only Barbie Looks doll," says designer Bill Greening. Barbie Looks #19 Black Label doll that uses the "tall" body of the Made-to-Move doll.

What exactly does "to cling" mean? Bill was happy to explain, relating it to the rest of the wave. "For the third wave, we chose very bright, bold colors for each doll. This is a trend we've been seeing in fashion. The six main dolls [#13-#18] have a more casual look, while doll #19 is a bit more glamorous. Also , I personally like her pale skin tone against the black hair and violet eyes. Very dramatic."
And with all the extra accessories included, you'll be able to create even more different ensembles for showing off and posting photos on social media. "The great thing about this doll is that the outfit is made up of individual pieces, so collectors can mix and match to create a variety of looks," says Bill. The set includes two blouses, trousers and a pencil skirt, as well as on-trend accessories: two pairs of heels, two clutches, three bracelets and bold cat-eye sunglasses.
Due to the variety of styles and accessories, our packaging team had to rethink the Barbie Looks doll box for this occasion. "The packaging still follows the theme of the color blocks, but it's a bit bigger," says lead packaging designer Vicky Gevorkian. This allows for additional items, but that's not the only reason for the change. "It also allows you to highlight the different styled looks you can create with this doll in the photos on the back."
