I was inspired by Inesa Dolls post where she made a three strand necklace. I was going to do the same. I remembered that I have a small number 15 bead that I bought to decorate the shawl: a beautiful shiny red color. I decided to use nylon thread to make it thin and strong at the same time. I only have one nylon thread and it happens to be dark red too. I prepared the smallest lock that I have so that there would be a clasp. It is still a little too big, but I decided to try it
In the process of work, I noticed how beautifully the strings of beads intertwine and decided to change the style. And I also remembered that I have super-mini magnets from AliExpress. There was one question: how to attach them. Clay was not coping.
Then I decided to try the gel polish and the lamp and it worked. First, for convenience, I combined the threads, and then "planted" a magnet on them. Considering the super small size, this is quite a painstaking task. The magnet on the gel polish holds quite decently. Of course, it can be torn off if you apply effort, but in the process of normal use, I have never had a magnet come off. Holds very firmly, separates easily.
After connecting two bead threads and attaching magnets to the ends, we twist the threads between each other. To keep them constantly in this state, you can feed beads in 2-3 places between them. But I didn't do that. I just twist the threads a little before putting it on.
By the way, in this size of beads, I used 46 beads on one thread.
This is what the fastener and the product itself looks like on the doll. I am very satisfied with the result! I plan to buy several colors of this small bead.
