I'm a big fan of fantasy films, and especially a fan of the last installment of Mad Max: Fury Road with Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, but another cool series that I really enjoyed was The Queens's Gambit starring Anna Taylor-Joy, that's why the new movie "Furiosa: The Mad Max Saga" is a must-see for me and I'm sharing with you the trailer and a little bit of history and doll paraphernalia!
Saga "Mad Max"
The Mad Max saga is a post-apocalyptic film created by Australian director George Miller. The franchise began with Mad Max in 1979, followed by Mad Max 2: Road Warrior in 1981, Mad Max Thunder Domes in 1985, and the critically acclaimed Mad Max: Fury Road in 2015.
"Furiosa" refers to Emperor Furiosa, a prominent character in Mad Max: Fury Road. Furiosa, portrayed by Charlize Theron, is a skilled warrior and commander of a military installation in a dystopian desert. The story follows her journey to free a group of captive women from the tyrannical warlord Immortal Joe. Furiosa becomes a central figure in the film, known for her strength, determination and leadership, and she plays a key role in the events of Mad Max: Fury Road.
Max
The upcoming Furiosa: The Mad Max Saga is a highly anticipated post-apocalyptic action adventure co-produced and directed by visionary George Miller, who collaborated with Nico Latourise on the screenplay. Positioned as a prequel to the popular Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), this installment is the fifth installment in the iconic Mad Max franchise. The film has an all-star cast, with Anya Taylor-Joy playing the central role of Emperor Furiosa, as well as Chris Hemsworth, Alila Brown and Tom Burke in supporting roles.
Wez
The journey to bring Furiosa to life began in March 2020, when Miller conducted casting for the lead role. In October of that year, Taylor-Joy, Hemsworth and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II were originally cast, but due to a scheduling conflict, Abdul-Mateen was replaced by Burke in November. Notably, several key members of the Fury Road creative team are back, emphasizing a commitment to maintaining the core of the Mad Max universe. Screenwriter Nico Latouris, editor Margaret Sixel, costume designer Jenny Beavan, and composer Tom Holkenborg lend their expertise to this highly anticipated project.
The Humungus
The main plot of the film is immersed in a turbulent world that is falling apart, depicting the abduction of young Furiosa from the Green Place by the Many Mothers of the Biker Horde, led by the formidable Warlord Dementus. Against the backdrop of two tyrants vying for supremacy in the Citadel, Furiosa embarks on a harrowing journey through many trials and tribulations as she resourcefully plans her return home across the unforgiving wasteland. This prequel promises to enrich the Mad Max narrative, providing a deeper understanding of the indomitable Empress Furiosa and the struggles that made her an iconic character in Fury Road.
