Barbie Supergirl™ 2023 Review

Congratulations, Friends! We offer you a small, but sincere photo review of the new Barbie Supergirl™ doll, which is already freely available on trade resources and, if you wish, you can easily add it to your collection!

The doll was released as a Black Label, and has the packaging and set-up characteristic of the collectible series: a bright box with the character's story, a certificate of authentication and a stand.

The doll itself is made with taste and style: a charming face on the Curvy/Karl mold, very beautiful and high-quality stitched thick hair, cut into a cute square. But, if the doll does not plan to sit "under the glass" in the box, but intends to actively take pictures and learn about the world - we highly recommend washing the hair from the factory varnish, which is easily washed off with ordinary shampoo.
For this review, it was decided not to wash the hair, but to show the doll as you will see it when you take it out of the box for the first time ☺️

The Barbie Supergirl™ outfit evokes warm nostalgia for the days when we were first lucky enough to have the legendary Superman from Mattel in our collections! The material of the Supergirl outfit is the same, bright, slightly elastic, pleasantly detailed. And, where would you go without it, once again a chic red raincoat (which, by the way, still has micro-holes from the attachment to the box 😜)

Just like in the case of Superman, it is the outfit that adds a tiny spoonful of tar to the vivid impression of the doll - it is one-piece, has no fasteners, that is - it is not removable🤷🏻‍♀️ But, this time, the designers decided to think strategically, so the seam on the back of the suit is made by hand, with a thin thread 👍🏼😎, which allows you to carefully release the doll from the suit and sew, if necessary, a button or Velcro☝🏻🤓

The body type of Barbie Supergirl™ is declared by the manufacturer as Female Hero, very athletic and sensual. It has fewer joints than the Made to Move female body, but looks gorgeous!
Double hinges in elbows and knees, hinged foot (not hinged), elasticated hips, lively expressive handles.

The head of the doll is marked on the back of the head with the year 2021 and is small in size, like the rest of the Mattel collectibles.
The makeup is not pixelated and corresponds to the status of a strong, purposeful, steadfast and brave girl with the letter "S" on her chest and with all the consequences for her opponents.

In terms of skin tone - in our humble opinion - Barbie Supergirl™ has a similar skin tone to Extra Blonde and Made to Move Blonde in Purple Top. Therefore, if there is a desire to make this wonderful Supergirl more mobile - you can try the proposed options.
