Disney Store 2023 Singing Ariel Doll Review

2023 is bursting with interesting doll novelties on a "sea" theme!🌊🧜🏻‍♀️
Today we bring to your attention another bright version of The Little Mermaid, only from the Disney Store. A chic set with an additional set of clothes for Ariel, who, in addition, sings her "same" most famous leitmotif from cartoons and films for 10 seconds!🎤🤩
We will remind you that the doll is a portrait of the actress and singer Holly Bailey, who played Ariel in a modern film, and imitates some bright facial features of this charismatic African-American beauty😍

The packaging of the doll is stylish and thematic, on the back side there is a hole that allows you to press the button on the back of the doll and instantly enjoy her sweet singing.
There is no stand in the set, so a stand from another set was used for the review.

In the set itself - Ariel in a mermaid outfit and additionally a blue dress, powder shoes and a coral headband.

The doll looks very realistic thanks to the mold lovingly worked out by the sculptor - the dimples on the cheeks, the size and location of the eyes, the line of the cheekbones and even slightly swollen eyelids. All this makes you want to look and admire her again and again.
The girl has a larger head compared to, for example, collectible Barbie heads. The head is about the size of fashionistas dolls.
The eye print is a little disappointing. Previously, such sloppiness was not noticed under Disney, apparently their quality control department was on vacation at the time of the release of the doll🤷🏻‍♀️
Despite this, the doll looks very natural, has well-made make-up and a charming white-toothed smile😍

Ariel's hair, an exquisite copper color, has medium softness, is not varnished, is not very densely sewn, but evenly, which gives the hair a natural volume. On both sides of the parting, tight flagella are additionally sewn to match the tone of the main hair.

If you add a little effort and pull on such a flagellum, it is pulled out without any problems, because it is not fixed from the inside of the head. A hairstyle without bangs looks full and intact, because the bangs do not touch the parting and do not drag other hair with them.

Ariel's mermaid outfit is a work of tailoring puppetry. Absolutely everything is pleasantly impressive - both the quality of tailoring, and the choice of fabric with an imitation of scales, which shimmers with all the colors of the rainbow, and attention to details, such as thin fasteners, transparent tail fins, jewelry decoration of the bodice on silicone straps and a fishtail belt💜

The second outfit is no less impressive: an elegant sky-colored dress with intricate details and made of variously textured fabric also has a thin velcro fastening on the back. The skirt of the dress has a good volume thanks to the satin petticoat.

The coral headband has a convenient velcro, is easy to put on and almost does not get stuck on the doll's head.

Powder heeled pumps are embellished with white seashells and complete this light and marshmallow look. They stay firmly on the legs and do not fly off.

In general, the entire set of clothes that comes with the doll looks as follows. There are no additional accessories, such as jewelry, in the set.

Ariel has a very interesting articulated body, which has one-piece elbows, articulated hands, and legs very reminiscent of LIV dolls: two-piece knees, flexible foot-scapula. Traditionally, the doll has painted underwear.

It is also impossible not to notice Ariel's expressive hands😍

On the back of the doll there are "musical" parts - a speaker, which is also a button for turning on singing, and a unit with power elements. And there is a secret switch on the side of the doll that turns the power supply to the speaker on and off, and this is a very important thing, because when interacting with the doll, your fingers constantly hit the button with the speaker and Ariel sings-sings-sings...🤪

Traditionally, it's not an easy task to pair a Disney Store doll head with a Mattel Made to Move body, because skintone matching in such a pair is more of a fluke than a pattern. Unfortunately, Ariel has a skin tone "in the middle" between a brunette football player and Asha MTM, even with a pinkish tint.

And this is how the girl looks on the body of the new Looks Petit 2023, even with the flagella removed from her hair. By the way, Ariel's beautiful palms hybridize very well with the MTM petit body, so if you don't mind the different colors, you can try it☺️
