Review of Ted Lasso from Mattel's Ted Lasso Series, 2023

Good humor, part of football culture and topics that are important to talk about. Recently, the series "Ted Lasso" came to an end - a story about the American coach of the fictional club "Richmond", who fell in love with millions of viewers.
It is not surprising that the pet-trainer also appeared in the 1/6 scale, to get on the shelves not only of connoisseurs of dolls, but also of fans of the exciting serial story. Mattel has once again created a small miracle that you don't want to let go of
The Ted Lasso portrait doll from Mattel appeared under the gold label, and pleasantly surprises with its authenticity and resemblance to the real prototype - actor Jason Sudeikis, who brilliantly played Ted in the series👍🏼🤩

The doll has a brightly themed packaging with the character's story on the back. The inner part of the package unfolds into a sports dressing room and can be used as a photo booth. The package includes an exquisite certificate of authenticity and a black man's stand.

At Mattel, 100 percent managed to reproduce all the positives inherent in the serial prototype. Here, coach Ted came to training, took off his stylish glasses, from under which appeared a friendly and smiling face with eyes that also smile, and that's all - it's impossible not to smile back at him🤷🏻‍♀️😍

Ted has a very high-quality and almost non-pixel makeup. A bit of pixelation is only visible on the eyebrows, where the gradient was created using this technique.

The "feature" of Ted's portrait mold is, of course, his chic mustache. For those who were hoping to make Ted shave with acetone and a cotton swab - we have news - it won't work! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Because Ted's gorgeous mustache is molded, and only carving will help to remove it.
The portrait mold itself is very detailed, these are elaborate nasolabial folds, and dimples on the cheeks and chin, a good jaw line and an amazing nose, which makes Ted's profile even more interesting😊

Coach Ted has thick, shiny, high-quality braided hair of a dark shade, which is very heavily varnished.

And, of course, Ted never parted with his coaching attributes - a soccer ball and a whistle.

Coach Ted's outfit consists of a sports jacket, pants, t-shirt and sports shoes. It should be noted the very high quality of execution and attention to detail, thanks to which Ted's outfit can be safely attributed to one of the best creations of the Mattel design department.
The sports suit in the corporate colors of FC "Richmond" (jacket and pants) is made of a pleasant soft material that does not interfere with the doll's movements.
The jacket is decorated with a real functional "zipper", which is easy and soft to unbutton and fasten.

The logos on the jacket are printed on the fabric, while the logos on the pants are thermal prints.

The inside of the jacket has no lining and additional seams.

Underneath his jacket, Ted is wearing a plain, neat white t-shirt made of a fine knit that has a thin velcro fastening on the back. The t-shirt has a nice length and looks good when straightened from the pants.

The pants have amazing bottomless pockets, when you can push the doll's hands into them to your heart's content😅 From the inside, the pockets are not formed and not sewn.
The pants have a pleasant length and fit nicely over the shoes.
There is an elastic band in the waistband, the pants do not have additional fasteners.

The pleasant surprises from Mattel do not end there, because the creators decided to give Ted not just any, but a real articulated body of the old model! The kind that the collectible boys from the Divergent series flaunted at one time 🤩 Yes, yes, the same body with elastic in the hips and with a hinged foot!

And we had a unique opportunity to compare the appearance of the body of the old model with the body of Made to Move☝🏻🤓 It turns out that the guys used to be taller!🤔

As you might have noticed, Ted's skin tone almost matches that of the Looks 5 blonde, but a careful eye will see that Ted has a slightly pinkish tint.
If such a minor disparity does not upset you, or you will get tired of naughty legs on rubber bands 🤭 - you can hybridize with Ken Looks 5 and 18☺️

Despite numerous comparisons of Ted with Ukrainian singers ("hello" to Pavel Zibrov), our team personally thinks that the doll turned out amazing!❤️😌
