Just a hobby?!

How long ago did you find yourself in the hobby? Is it possible to be fascinated by the puppet world or everything related to it all your life?
I will tell you my story.
As long as I can remember, I adored dolls. In the difficult 90s with all the deficits, I really dreamed about Barbie. After kindergarten, she persuaded her mother to go to the children's world and at least look at the beautiful Barbie with one eye (not the real ones that came from America, but those that were available in small towns of the post-Soviet space). The first doll was given to me for my birthday. With rubber oak hands and feet, blond hair and brown eyes. I am very original in names and named the doll Barbie. I got a friend for my birthday again and it was Cindy in a wedding dress. It was an incredible happiness to receive as a gift not a blouse or school supplies, but a doll. And since this was a rather rare phenomenon, my dolls were actively playing until the age of 16. Then I seemed to have outgrown and forgot the dolls for several years. I forgot... until the hinged Fashionistas looked at me from the shelf of the toy store. I was leaving the dentist, and I decided that I deserved an award after the treatment😁😁😁 A week later, I was riding the tram home after another visit to the doctor with articulated Ken. Later, after a VK post from my colleague, Gulia from Monster High crept into the house, followed by Toners with eBay.
Dolls appeared at home of various types and sizes, and it was somehow difficult to generalize them with the word collection. Until, in June, an afro-pishka from Looks came to me. Love has returned to its roots again. Now I have more than 100 dolls (perhaps more than 200, but I am afraid to count and realize this number). A few years ago, I was ashamed of my passion, and Jewish dolls were mostly in boxes. But little by little, one by one, they broke free and climbed onto the shelves. I created an Instagram page and began to find like-minded people. And so, thanks to my treasures, I found myself in sewing doll clothes, crafting doll accessories.
Today I understand that the older I get, the more I love my hobby and myself in it.
