We finally waited!🤩🥳🎉 At the end of 2023, the Mattel company announced the release into the ocean of sales of a new batch of four budget mermaids, among which as many as two dolls were created on the relatively new Odile mold.
And now, already in 2024, we managed to catch one of them by the tail and persuade it to pose for our review☺️
So, meet: Odile (open mouth) HRR05, the creation of designer Angel Kent🧜🏻♀️
The packaging is bright, traditional for dolls of the budget segment - an ordinary blister. The package includes only a doll.
The stand for review was taken from personal stocks😎
The tail fin is supplied separately but is very easy to insert thanks to a simple connector. The fin is bright, rubbery, pleasant to the touch, with an ombre effect
The doll is very bright and attractive, starting from the appearance as a whole and ending with individual details. It should be noted that the doll has only a basic articulation set and a hinge in the hips, which allows you to raise the tail forward almost 90 degrees, and move it back 30 degrees.
According to the feeling in the hands - the doll is good-natured, it is not afraid of fragile children's hands, falls and active play😅
The outfit of the dolls in this series consists of a molded bright top that cannot be removed and a molded fishtail. Each doll in the series has her favorite set of colors used in her outfit. Our Odile loves yellow, blue, orange and pink shades.
The top has very nice detailing, the starfish are voluminous, which contributes to the development of tactility in children while playing with the doll.
The same can be said about the fish tail, which consists of molded plastic scales and has a rubber fin.
Marking the body and head of the doll so as not to get lost:
On the head of the charming little mermaid is a blue starfish crown, fixed with plastic fasteners on both sides of the head.
The face of the doll has a pleasant friendly look😍 She is very photogenic from different angles. I especially like the cute snub-nosed profile😊
Face painting is not pixelated, but in a sand-shadow style. You can see how the top layer of paint shines on the cheeks.
The doll's hair is unvarnished, soft (not kanekalon), sufficiently densely stitched, but after unpacking, the "extra" is falling a lot, so the hair needs to be combed and the ends trimmed. At the same time, the hair has creases from packaging, which can be straightened with boiling water.
Shades of Odile's hair are fuchsia mixed with a calmer pink.
Little by little, photos of this girl with custom (re-stitched) hair are appearing on the Internet. The color range of make-up allows you to choose a very wide palette of shades, if anything😉
This is what the doll looks like without a crown on its head.
A few different angles to get a better look at this incredible beauty🤗📸
According to the skintone, among the super-articulated Made to Move dolls, Yogi Joyce in a green outfit was suitable for our Odile, but note that the skintone of Yogi may differ depending on the batch🤷🏻♀️
Thank you for your attention and we hope that we managed to quickly show all the advantages of this doll while there are quite good discounts on it!😉
Best regards,
