Today we are reviewing the long-awaited representative of the Music series from Mattel - a graceful and passionate girl dedicated to the outstanding Mexican singer Juan Gabriel. You can learn more about him, his contribution to culture, and the history of the creation of the doll by referring to a separate story on our website: dollshobby.club π€
And we will move on to a direct acquaintance with one of the most successful, in our opinion, dolls of this year from Mattel π
The doll belongs to Black Label, has an exquisite bright packaging in the form of a blister and a background depicting a musical performance of the doll with a group of Mexican musicians. On the back of the package is a brief history of Juan Gabriel. The package includes a certificate of authenticity and a model stand for the doll with a black podium.
The doll, without exaggeration, looks stunning!π The creators, led by designer Angel Kent, created an indescribably harmonious image, based on Mattel's best inventions: the childishly gentle and at the same time very expressive Odile mold, the sensual and hypnotizing Model body with its lines Muse, a vibrant outfit with the signature bolero jacket and mariachi-style gold trim, matching Juan Gabriel's charismatic style.
The girl turned out to be very photogenic and positive! π
The make-up is neat and refined, very well suited to the tanned skin and honey-olive shade of the doll's eyes. A special delight is the juicy shade on the girl's lips 𫦠There is a little pixel in the eyebrows, but the gradient is created in this way, so we can safely say that the make-up is of high quality ππΌ
The doll's hair has two shades of chocolate, gathered in a high short wavy tail. A long bang in the form of a "curl of passion" is fixed with a thread on the side of the head and varnished. We must note that there may be uneven embroidery on the doll's forehead precisely due to the location and angle of the mane. In general, the hair is very soft and pleasant to the touch.
In the doll's ears are long, gold, plastic earrings without stoppers, which resemble the embroidery ornament on a bolero jacket. They are removed easily and without additional effort.
The girl's neck is decorated with a gold necklace in the form of a bolo tie, this accessory was among the other favorites of Juan GabrielβΊοΈ
The decoration is plastic, resembling a collar with an inlaid stone.
In the doll's hands we can see a black concert microphone that clings to the hand with the help of a special holder, which, in turn, rests on a golden plastic ring inserted into the doll's hand. That is, if you don't take out the ring, you won't be able to remove the microphone π€ͺ The ring leaves a rather noticeable hole in the doll's hand.
The doll's outfit fascinates with its detail and sophistication. First and foremost is the gold-embellished bolero jacket in a colorful mariachi style, inspired by the one worn by "Juanga" (a fond nickname for Juan Gabriel from his fans) in his iconic 1990 concert at El Palacio de Bellas Artes.
The jacket has no fasteners, no stretch, and is lined with a shimmering gold fabric.
Under the jacket we are greeted by an amazing black and gold jumpsuit with silicone straps.
The material of the overalls is strong but elastic, the outer sheen is very similar to leather, but it is not leather. The jumpsuit is also decorated with golden elements on the corset, and bright golden lapels on the sides along the entire length, which once again emphasizes the beauty and grace of the doll's bodyπ The jumpsuit is fastened with black Velcro on the back.
The doll's legs are decorated with high-heeled and open-toed shoes shining with golden mother-of-pearl. They don't hold very well on the leg, but I'm happy that the heels can safely withstand the weight of the doll and don't try to crawl in different directionsπ€
The Juan Gabriel Barbie doll is based on the gorgeous Model Muse body, which will make you fall in love with its lines and curves, but it is considered minimally mobile, as it has only a few basic joints.
For fans of mobility, there is an opportunity to hybridize Juan Gabriel with the Made to Move DJY08 body, this is Yoga Joyce in a blue top.
And this is what the doll looks like on the body of MTM, with an undone hairstyle and straightened hair.
The hair turned out to be a pleasant length and a good firmwareβΊοΈ
And this is how a doll can look in a "home" image π
Thank you for your attention, we hope you liked this incredible beauty and wanted to put her on your doll shelfπ
Write your impressions of her in the comments, we are always interested in your opinion π€
Sincerely,
